Our Vision
A humane and sustainable Singapore where every street animal is treated with compassion, has access to essential care, and can coexist safely with the community.
We envision a future where TNRM, accessible medical care, responsible community stewardship, and informed public participation form the foundation of effective street animal management — reducing suffering, improving animal welfare, and creating lasting, compassionate solutions for both animals and people.
Our Mission
Causes for Animals (Singapore) (CAS) is dedicated to improving the lives of Singapore’s street animals through humane TNRM, medical care, and responsible community-based management.
We focus on practical, sustainable solutions that reduce suffering and support healthier street animal populations. Through sterilisation, veterinary treatment, feeding management, monitoring, and community engagement, we work towards a future where animals and communities can coexist with greater compassion and understanding.
We provide medical support and rehabilitation for injured, abandoned, elderly, and vulnerable animals, while helping suitable animals find safe and responsible homes.
As we move forward, TNRM and medical outreach will remain at the heart of our work, alongside our continued commitment to the senior and special-needs dogs already in our care. Our goal is simple: to improve animal welfare through compassionate action, responsible management, and sustainable solutions.

Institution of Public Character (IPC)
Causes for Animals (Singapore) is an approved Institution of Public Character (IPC). This means that donations made to CAS are eligible for tax exemption in accordance with prevailing IRAS guidelines.
To qualify for tax deductions, all donors—whether individuals or businesses—are required to provide their identification number (such as NRIC, FIN, or UEN) when making a donation. Qualifying donations made within each calendar year (up to 31 December) are eligible for a 250% tax deduction. For the deduction to apply in the next tax assessment year, donations must be successfully received by CAS before year-end.
CAS will submit the relevant donation details directly to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) for processing. Tax deductions are granted based on information transmitted by CAS, and donors are not required to submit claims manually or attach donation receipts in their tax returns.
By providing your Tax Reference Number, Singapore tax residents consent to the collection and use of their personal data for the purpose of processing and recording donations made to CAS.
“Tax deductions cannot be issued retrospectively if your Tax Reference Number is not provided within the same calendar year as your donation.”
Management and use of all donations are in keeping with accepted accounting principles and the Charities Act, Singapore guidelines. We are determined to be known for our high ethical standards and our commitment to transparency and openness.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our partners for their generous donations, continued support, and commitment to improving the lives of animals in need. Your contributions play a vital role in helping us carry out our rescue, medical, TNRM, and community care programmes.
With your support, we are able to provide ongoing care for shelter animals, respond to emergencies, and sustain long-term welfare initiatives for street animals across Singapore. We currently provide safe shelter, daily care and ongoing support for 25 dogs under our responsibility, including elderly and special-needs animals.
