The Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage (TNRM) Programme is one of our core long-term strategies for the humane and sustainable management of free-roaming cats and dogs. We believe that sterilisation, responsible care, and ongoing monitoring are among the most effective and compassionate ways to reduce uncontrolled breeding and improve the welfare of street animals.

Nationwide TNRM Efforts
Over the past 13 years, our nationwide TNRM efforts have resulted in the sterilisation of more than 750 dogs and 1500 cats, alongside ongoing work with free-roaming cats. Our volunteers have worked across diverse locations, including remote and offshore sites, often under challenging conditions to safely secure animals for sterilisation, veterinary care, and subsequent return or rehoming.
Comprehensive Animal Care
Beyond sterilisation, we provide post-operative care and, where possible, vaccination and treatment for medical conditions. Animals that are healthy and suitable for return are released back to their territories and monitored by volunteers and community caregivers. Those requiring additional support are assessed for foster care, rehabilitation, adoption, or rehoming.
The TNRM Approach
TNRM is a long-term, community-based approach that goes beyond one-off interventions. By combining sterilisation, veterinary care, monitoring, responsible caregiving, and rehoming, we aim to reduce unwanted litters while giving street cats and dogs healthier and more humane lives.
