Our Adoption Process

Adoptions at CAS

Causes for Animals (Singapore) Limited (CAS) is dedicated to improving the lives of Singapore's street and companion animals through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, medical care, and humane Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage (TNRM) programmes.

Interested in adopting?

Please contact us via our adoption hotline for all enquiries about our animals:

You can also email us at chris@causesforanimals.com

Come and meet your potential pet, spend time and find out all about them.

It is a MUST to bring all the family members living with the pet. Should you have your own pets, they can be brought down on a subsequent visit.

Please remember, we all work full time so visits to CAS are by appointment only. Please contact us to make an appointment!

Firstly, email us back to inform us of your interest.

Then, we will send you a Pre Adoption Form to fill out (or you can click above to fill it in first). Filling out this form does not guarantee an adoption. It is never on a first-come-first-serve basis.

After looking through the forms, we will get in touch with the best match for the dog. This depends on experience, temperament of pet, your lifestyle and any other things that may affect the pet.

If we have gotten back to confirm a home stay, we will come by with your selected pet for a home visit and if all safe, the pet can stay for a week home stay.

This isn’t a try before you buy. You’ll be signing an agreement and working with us through the initial settling-in period. We are here to help. We’ll be available by phone or text and will do regular home visits.

Congratulations, we can finalise the adoption and let you get on with your journey together.

Don’t worry, we still keep in touch and are happy to help with any information needed.

We strongly encourage all our adopters to attend training classes, especially first-time dog owners and new puppy owners.

We believe a small investment in training will give you and your dog the best start to your relationship.  Remember, training is not just for your dog; you will also need some help too.

Our preferred training consultants are indicated on the Adoption Costs Page.
