Medical Aid

CAS provides medical assistance and emergency care for injured, ill, and vulnerable dogs and cats, both on the streets and in shelters. Our medical fund enables us to respond to urgent cases involving accident injuries, severe infections, maggot wounds, fractures, chronic illnesses, and other critical conditions.

Medical Assistance & Emergency Rescue

Stories of Survival and Hope

Over the years, CAS has supported numerous animals in need. These cases highlight the challenges faced by street and shelter animals and the difference timely intervention can make.

Post-Treatment Care and Rehabilitation

Beyond veterinary treatment, we provide recovery care, medication, rehabilitation, nutrition, and monitoring where needed, helping animals regain their health and, where possible, move on to foster care, adoption, or a safe environment.

Supporting Families and Their Pets

In addition, we also offer community care on a case by case basis to animals who may be referred to us by organizations that work with lower income families in need.

When Help Cannot Wait

Donations to our medical fund give us the ability to respond when help cannot wait—and give vulnerable animals a chance at recovery and a better life.

Gully is a beautiful six-month-old stray cat who was rescued as a tiny kitten from an industrial area in Gul. When she was found, she was suffering from severe and painful burn wounds, requiring hospitalisation, intensive treatment, and a long recovery.

Despite everything she went through, Gully remained incredibly affectionate and trusting, towards people. Her resilience and gentle nature have been remarkable. gully has since found a home with Ida!

Gully’s Rescue Story

For seven years, Hooper called a farm in Lim Chu Kang home. When the farm closed and everyone left, Hooper was left behind.

He was later found alone in a toilet cubicle, suffering from severe neglect, painful skin damage, infected eyes, entropion, thickened knees, and osteoarthritis. Despite years of hardship, Hooper remained a gentle and loving dog.

CAS helped cover his medical treatment and bills, while his dedicated feeders stepped in to ensure he was not left alone again. Today, Hooper is safe in foster care, where he is receiving the love, comfort, and care he has always deserved.

Hooper’s Rescue Story

For years, Goggles was a beloved community dog in Punggol, cared for under our TNRM programme and supported by dedicated feeders.

When redevelopment led to his relocation to Lim Chu Kang, Goggles struggled to adapt to his unfamiliar surroundings. His health deteriorated, eventually resulting in severe vision loss.

Thankfully, the people who had cared for him refused to give up. Goggles was brought to safety and received urgent medical attention. With the support of SOSD, he now has a safe place to recover and, hopefully, the chance to find a loving forever home.

Goggles’ Rescue Story

Life changed in an instant for Fatty Boom.

A tragic accident left him with severe nerve damage and a devastating tail-pull injury, ultimately requiring the amputation of his tail. Just when it seemed he was on the road to recovery, complications arose. A recurring infection meant a second surgery and yet another hurdle to overcome.

With ongoing treatment, monitoring, and veterinary care, Fatty Boom continued to fight his way back to health. His journey was not an easy one, but his resilience and determination never wavered.

Today, we are delighted to share that Fatty Boom has found his forever home with Crystle and her family. After everything he endured, he now has the love, security, and family he deserves.
